“ Abby and Abbey are very talented and wonderful to work with. They have excellent taste. They really understood us and did a great job integrating our existing art. Our bathrooms and kitchen look amazing. We highly recommend them.” – Michael & Martha
Our clients are well on their way to amassing an impressive art and photo collection, and were looking for a redesign of all the baths, paint and lighting updates throughout the home, and selections of specific furniture pieces in the common areas that would integrate with their existing furniture and art collection. Dogs and daughters rule in this home, so casual lifestyle furnishings and finishes were a must. At Smith & Ragsdale we often have custom pieces of furniture made to fit specific specifications for our clients. This was no exception here, with custom bathroom vanities to custom casegoods– all designed for this specific residence.
This three-story duplex in University Park was built on a narrow lot, which creates several areas in the home that are slightly awkward and tight on space. The once-forgotten den off the main foyer has now become the family’s “favorite hang out spot” for television watching, reading, and just lounging about. The home’s exterior and interior architecture leans towards a more traditional style but our clients appreciate a more modern and clean aesthetic. We designed and selected pieces that would bridge the gap and create harmony among the typically contrasting styles. The art and photography looks comfortably at home, positioned among the relaxed furnishings, finishes, and family members.
