Our clients requested a kitchen and adjacent spaces where extended family members can gather together, cook, relax and enjoy watching sports weekly on the multiple televisions that can be seen from all angles.  The challenge – take a dated kitchen, family room and office and turn them into a home that reflects today’s open and integrated living style.  We accomplished this by making modest but smart modifications to the floor plan and totally gutting these spaces. We also figured out a solution to add a new fireplace on the main media wall. The furniture was carefully chosen to be “lounging worthy,” with performance fabrics, faux-leather, and two restyled cushy sofas.

Our clients also requested that we fully redesign their master bath to be a relaxing spa-like refuge with an organic feel to complement the rest of the home. We chose a light-colored dimensional limestone tile to set the backdrop for the warm quarter-sawn oak cabinets.  The bathtub required careful attention; It was chosen only after our client had an opportunity to sit in it and make sure it was the perfect fit for her!  It was placed under existing windows that provide a view of a private garden, with a television built into the perfect viewing spot to relax and catch up on programs.
